Youth Conclave Attendees Hesitate to Chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, Minister Lekhi Did This..
Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi strongly addressed a section of the audience at a youth conclave, expressing her dismay over their reluctance to chant the “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” slogan despite her repeated requests. Visibly frustrated, she questioned whether Bharat, referring to India, was not their mother and suggested that a woman in the audience, hesitant to join in, should leave the venue.
The conclave, organized by certain right-wing outfits, witnessed Lekhi concluding her speech with a fervent chant of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” urging the audience to echo the sentiment. However, the response did not meet her expectations, prompting her to question whether Bharat was not considered their home.
In an effort to boost enthusiasm, the Union Minister emphasized the collective nature of Bharat being the mother for all. She specifically called out a woman in the audience, urging her to stand up and participate. Displeased with the lackluster response, Lekhi even suggested that those who do not consider Bharat their mother should leave the event.
Lekhi reiterated that individuals who do not take pride in their nation or feel embarrassed to speak about India need not be part of the youth conclave. The minister’s passionate appeal reflected her commitment to fostering a sense of national pride and unity among the attendees.
